In this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”)

  • “our”, “we”, “us” or “NZDF” means the New Zealand Defence Force
  • “you” means you, the person using our services, or visiting our website
  • “IAPTC” means the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres
  • “Conference” means the 24th Annual Conference of the IAPTC
  • “Delegate” means any person who is registered to attend the Conference, including as a speaker at the Conference

2. General

NZDF welcomes you to this website. Unless otherwise specified, the information that you provide us as a Delegate is collected by us with the intent of assisting you in your participation and experience at the Conference, as well as to support our Conference host responsibilities.

In addition to this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Use apply to your use of our website. It is important that you read our Terms of Use in conjunction with this Privacy Policy.

3. Information we collect

We will use your information that you provide us with to assist us with hosting you at the Conference. We may link this information to your Conference profile which we will hold for the purposes of hosting you at the Conference. We may also provide this information to the IAPTC Secretariat for its database collection and communication purposes.

If you choose to provide us with personal information such as your email address, for example, by filling out our electronic registration form, we will use the information to communicate with you in relation to the Conference and/or services which we provide to you or which we consider may be of interest to you in relation to the Conference. This may include email notices and/or promotions related to the Conference.

Information that we may collect about you will not be disclosed to any other person in a form that will identify you except:

a) Where you have consented to such disclosure; and/or
b) Where such disclosure is required or permitted by law.

By providing your consent to such disclosure, we may publish and/or use photos of you and/or speaker presentation material and/or general information provided by you (for example, in our Conference report and/or on this website).

We can disclose information about you to relevant law enforcement authorities, such as the New Zealand Police or the Department of Internal Affairs if we are concerned, for example, about security issues.

The NZDF systems and related equipment to which this website connects may be subject to monitoring (including by third parties) in order to support the utility and security of this website and related systems.

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you where it is stored in such a way that it can be readily be retrieved or if it does not relate to matters of New Zealand’s interests and/or security. If the personal information we hold about you is not accurate or complete, then you may ask us to correct it.
