Regional Associations

Since its founding, the concept of the IAPTC has not only been accepted internationally but has been seen to have value regionally. This has led to the formation of four regional networks, all with similar objectives.

All four of these organisations meet separately and annually to address training and education matters as they relate to their respective regions.

In 2015, the IAPTC also reached out to an annual North American training conference, sponsored and hosted by a group of US institutions – the Peace and Stability Operations Training and Education Workshop.

2002

The African Peace Support Trainers Association (APSTA) is formed.

2008

The Latin American Association of Peacekeeping Operations Training Centres (ALCOPAZ) is created. This also encompasses Caribbean countries.

2010

The Association of Asia-Pacific Peace Operations Training Centres (AAPTC) is founded.

2012

Under the lead of Germany and the Nordic countries, the European Association of Peace Operations Training Centres (EAPTC) is formed.
